Astray3

Hey everyone, thanks for bearing with me during the update drought. But, it should finally be over. Starting today there will be a new schedule going forward. Updates will try to land on Mondays and Fridays. ( I emphasize try. ) Updates for the normal Astray3 strips will be double sized and in color. The conservatives story will continue to run each week until it’s conclusion. ( Then just assume that it will be replaced with a second A3 update each week. )

Work has begun on the first Astray3 book!! This will be more than a simple print version!! It will be an expanded and partially revised version of the current swath of strips. It will take time to get all the artwork put together, but hopefully we will see a prototype early next year and production before convention season starts up again.

All you September contest winners should know that your prizes are on the way. They should be shipped out next week.

Hello readers, I hope you are enjoying Astray3 this month.

I’ve got some kinda sad-goodish news. For the next couple of months Astray3 updates will be limited to once a week. I’ve recently picked up a freelance comic job that will dominate my time till Spring 2010. So until I can get a better feeling for how this new work will pan out,  Astray3 will have to slow down a bit. I do intend to increase the number of updates again, but right now, I have no idea what that new schedule will look like.

In the meantime, I will be continuing the “Conservatives” sidestory each week until it is finished. After that is done, we will return to the main story, hopefully at a faster update rate. And above all that, I will start preparing the first ten A3 chapters for publication.

Tom Dell’Aringa of Marooned is first up on the parade of September guest strips! Looks like the girls are taking some time out to enjoy more feminine activities.

If you are a long time reader of Astray3 you might find Tom’s name familiar. ( A lot of you probably found me through Tom’s  blurbs on Marooned of Digg. ) He was one of the first webcomickers to befriend this fledgling artist. Without his help A3 might not be what it is today. So, make sure to visit Marooned and let him know what a swell guy he is.
